Rising oil prices are once again placing pressure on the global economy, renewing concerns among governments and financial institutions about inflation and slower economic growth.

The recent increase in crude oil prices has been driven largely by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and uncertainty surrounding maritime security near the Strait of Hormuz — one of the world’s most critical energy transit routes. Although diplomatic efforts continue, markets remain highly sensitive to any disruption that could affect supply.

Higher energy costs are already beginning to influence inflation expectations worldwide. Since oil plays a central role in transportation, manufacturing, and electricity generation, sustained price increases can quickly translate into more expensive goods and services across multiple sectors.
