Trieste Hadal by Vitor Regis

Oceanographers call it the hadal zone — after Hades, the Greek underworld: the trenches below six thousand metres,

where no sunlight has ever reached. It was there, in 1960, that the bathyscaphe Trieste touched the floor of the

Challenger Deep. The V. Regis Trieste Hadal carries that descent in its colours: a deep blue 60-minute dive bezel

around a black dial, the last blue before the dark.

Large luminous indices and hands keep the time legible in low light, with the date at 3 o'clock under sapphire crystal.

The 40 mm stainless steel case sits on a solid three-link steel bracelet, and an automatic mechanical calibre powers it

without a battery. 100 m water resistance makes it the bracelet-and-blue counterpart to Trieste and Kuroshio.
