يَاقُوت Yaqut by Vitor Regis

Yaqut is the Arabic word for ruby — the stone that Arab jewellers and poets held as the most precious of all. The V. Regis Yaqut carries its colour on the dial: a deep red sunburst whose fine rays radiate from the centre and darken towards the edge, framing the twelve hours in Eastern Arabic numerals, from ١ to ١٢.

Polished hands sweep over the dial, crossed by a slender red seconds hand, while “Automatic” is signed in script above 6 o’clock. A round polished steel case with a finely knurled, coin-edge bezel and a black crocodile-pattern leather strap give Yaqut a classic, formal character — the dress-watch counterpart to Malik and Shafaq within the collection.
